The Wheel For Recovery Charity Evening is a fundraising raffle conducted by Defenders of Australia Club Inc. as part of Defender Fest, with proceeds supporting our nominated charity, Brainchild.
The Wheel For Recovery will be held on the evening of the Defender Fest Shindig.
Winning ticket holders get to Spin the Wheel and choose one prize from the corresponding coloured Prize Table.
Ticket holders must be present at the Defender Fest Shindig when their ticket is drawn to claim their opportunity to Spin the Wheel.
By participating in the Wheel For Recovery, participants agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Wheel For Recovery raffle tickets are $5.00 each.
Persons under 18 years of age are not permitted to purchase Wheel For Recovery raffle tickets. Proof of age may be requested by an authorised ticket seller where reasonably required.
Every Weekend Camping Ticket includes two starting Wheel For Recovery raffle tickets, issued inside the vehicle swag bag on entry.
Additional tickets may be purchased for $5.00 each at selected advertised times and authorised ticket-selling locations throughout Defender Fest, subject to availability.
Ticket-selling times and locations may be announced through the event program, signage, event announcements or other official Defender Fest communications. Ticket sales will close at a time announced by the organisers before the Wheel For Recovery draw commences.
Tickets are available in different colours. Participants may choose to purchase tickets of one colour or spread their purchases across multiple available colours.
Tickets are issued in consecutive numerical order. Participants may choose their preferred ticket colour or colours but cannot select or reserve individual ticket numbers.
Each ticket represents one separate entry into the Wheel For Recovery draw. Purchasing additional tickets increases the number of entries held but does not guarantee a winning draw.
Tickets must be purchased through an authorised Wheel For Recovery ticket seller or sales point.
Tickets are non-refundable once purchased except where required by law.
Participants are responsible for retaining their tickets until the Wheel For Recovery has concluded. Lost or destroyed tickets may not be replaced where ownership cannot reasonably be verified.
Eligible raffle ticket stubs will be placed into the official Sponsor's Bucket.
During the Defender Fest Shindig, tickets will be randomly drawn from the Sponsor's Bucket by a nominated Ticket Drawer.
If your ticket is drawn and you are present, you win the opportunity to Spin the Wheel.
The winning ticket holder spins the Wheel For Recovery.
The colour on which the Wheel finishes determines the corresponding coloured Prize Table.
The winning participant may then choose one available prize from that Prize Table, subject to any age or eligibility restrictions applying to individual prizes.
Once a winning ticket has been drawn and the prize claimed, that ticket is considered used and cannot win again.
All eligible ticket stubs entered into the Wheel For Recovery draw will be placed into the designated Sponsor's Bucket.
Before each draw, tickets within the Sponsor's Bucket may be mixed to assist with ensuring a fair and random selection.
Each winning ticket will be drawn by a nominated Ticket Drawer appointed or approved by the event organisers.
The nominated Ticket Drawer will select one ticket at random from the Sponsor's Bucket for each draw.
The ticket colour and number will then be announced.
The corresponding ticket held by the participant must be presented and verified before the participant is permitted to Spin the Wheel.
Only valid and eligible tickets may participate in the draw.
The nominated Ticket Drawer's selection from the Sponsor's Bucket is final, subject to verification that the ticket is valid.
The Wheel For Recovery will feature colour-coded Prize Tables corresponding with the colours displayed on the Wheel.
Each Prize Table will contain a selection of generously donated prizes.
Prizes may include:
The type, quantity and value of prizes available on each table will vary.
The value of individual prizes is not necessarily equal between Prize Tables or between individual prizes on the same table.
The colour of your raffle ticket does not determine your Prize Table.
If your ticket is drawn, you Spin the Wheel.
The colour selected by the Wheel determines the Prize Table from which you may choose your prize.
Ticket drawn → Spin the Wheel → Wheel chooses the Prize Table → You choose your prize.
A winning participant may choose one available prize from the Prize Table corresponding with the colour selected by their spin.
The participant may choose any available prize from that table, subject to any age, eligibility or other restrictions applying to a particular prize.
Once a prize has been selected and accepted, the selection is final.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for another prize, another spin or cash.
As prizes are claimed throughout the evening, the selection of prizes remaining on each Prize Table will change.
The winning ticket holder must spin the Wheel in accordance with the directions of the supervising event official.
The Wheel must be allowed to rotate freely and come to a natural stop.
If a spin is incomplete, interfered with, obstructed or finishes in a position where the supervising official cannot reasonably determine the selected colour, the participant may be asked to spin again.
The supervising event official's determination of the colour selected by the Wheel is final.
Ticket holders must be present at the Defender Fest Shindig when their ticket is drawn to claim their opportunity to Spin the Wheel.
When a ticket is drawn, its colour and ticket number will be announced.
The winning ticket holder must present the corresponding physical ticket for verification.
The organisers may make reasonable attempts to announce the winning colour and ticket number during the Shindig.
If the winning ticket holder does not present themselves and their matching ticket within a reasonable period determined by the organisers, the ticket will be considered unclaimed.
An unclaimed ticket does not entitle the holder to a later spin or prize.
The organisers may then conduct a redraw from the Sponsor's Bucket.
A winning opportunity cannot be claimed on behalf of an absent ticket holder.
Participants under 18 years of age are not permitted to choose, claim or receive an alcoholic prize from any Prize Table.
Where a participant under 18 has a winning ticket, they may still Spin the Wheel and select a prize from the corresponding Prize Table; however, their selection must be a non-alcoholic prize.
Alcohol prizes may only be selected and claimed by participants 18 years of age or older.
Proof of age may be requested before an alcoholic prize is released.
Alcohol prizes must be handled and consumed in accordance with applicable laws and the conditions of the event venue.
Prizes involving tours, accommodation, services, experiences, vouchers or third-party products may be subject to additional conditions imposed by the donating business or provider.
These may include expiry dates, booking requirements, availability, participant restrictions or exclusions.
The prize recipient is responsible for checking and complying with any conditions applying to their selected prize.
Unless expressly included, travel, accommodation and other costs associated with redeeming a prize are the responsibility of the recipient.
Where a participant selects an automotive part, accessory, mechanical product or similar item, the recipient is responsible for confirming that the product is appropriate and compatible with their vehicle or intended application.
Professional installation should be used where appropriate.
Defenders of Australia Club Inc., Defender Fest, Brainchild and the prize donor are not responsible for incorrect selection, installation or use of a prize, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Prizes have been generously donated by sponsors, supporters, businesses, club members and members of the wider Defender community.
Unless otherwise stated, prizes are provided as donated and as presented.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash through Defenders of Australia Club Inc.
The organisers may reasonably add, remove, replace or relocate prizes between Prize Tables during the evening where required for the fair and practical operation of the activity.
Any prizes remaining after the conclusion of the Wheel For Recovery Charity Evening remain under the control of the organisers.
Remaining prizes may, where appropriate and consistent with the conditions under which they were donated, be retained for further charitable fundraising activities, returned to the donor or otherwise dealt with for the charitable fundraising purpose.
Wheel For Recovery is intended to be a fun, community-focused charity fundraising activity.
Participants must follow the reasonable directions of event officials and volunteers.
Any person attempting to interfere with the Sponsor's Bucket, ticket draw, spinning Wheel, tickets, Prize Tables or fair operation of the activity may be excluded from participation.
The Wheel For Recovery Charity Evening brings the Defender community together for a great night while raising funds for Brainchild.
The activity would not be possible without the generosity of the businesses, sponsors, supporters and individuals who donate prizes.
Every additional $5 ticket purchased contributes to our fundraising effort.
